Ursula Ferrara - Italy |
|
|
Ursula Ferrara’s career in animation begins in 1984, thanks to the Paris exhibition “Portrait d’un studio d’animation” which presented the works of the French animation studio of the National Film Board of Canada. In that same year she begins working on her first short film Lucidi Folli which she completes in 1986. Her following works are also shorts (Congiuntivo Futuro, Amore asimmetrico, Come persone), with animation in black and white, heavily influenced by contemporary Art. It is in 1997, that her particular style of animation using oil paints is seen in Quasi Niente, as well as in Cinque Stanze and La Partita. In News, she experiments with mixed media as she combines drawing, photography, decoupage and painting, even simultaneously.
She has
participated and won awards in a great number of Italian and International
Festivals. |
